An area bigger that Wales has burnt, and the burning smell lingers in morning air as I walk to buy milk. I describe burning trees that flail their branches like a person burning in agony. Also a brief chat with a mate washing their car. Bucket washing, but to be legal it has to be done before 10 am. We are rather lucky because while real men wash their cars, real men can also be so tough that they don't.
