Tide lesson
Prior Knowledge
Write: Tides dot points/ What you know, Importance, Experiance, Cause, Use of energy, Tidal flats.
Hand out the worksheet, and say not to fill in, but write notes, then fill in from book notes
Ask how many tides a day?
Explain
0. Gravity works on Mass, and closeness.
1. Gravity is a force that changes direction of motion into a circular orbit.
2. near moon or sun there is too much and ocean falls towards sun/moon
3. other side gravity too little and matterial would prefer to travel in a straight line into space.
Thus tidal force is a ripping appart force
