Common Mistakes in Teaching Quantum Mechanics

I find myself looking at Youtube video and internet notes to check details and always find the same style of mistakes that would through you off into the path of ignornance. Mainly the idea that uniform magnetic fields will exert a force on a balanced dipole. By getting this wrong it is just next to impossible to get going understanding this subject. There is also the relaxed way we say that a particular property like spin or obital angularmomentum is quantized when in fact it is the projection on to the z axis. This means that the length of the associated vector increases in fixed amount according to Squrt(s(s+1)) so not only are these vectors some integral number of units long they are also irrational numbers. There is great rain happening at the moment so you will have to struggle to hear over the rain noise sorry. I am only doing this for rehab.
