Review of SIX

The tells the story of a night out at the Sydney Opera house to see SIX. This is a very intelligent and engaging musical as an all girl girl-band takes on being the six wives of Henry the eighth... a herstory. I was naive and fell in love with the obviously Australian accents coming from the mouths of Tudor queens. I liked the audacity of having a feminist make over of male dominated history. At the end, many hours after I am disturbed by the idea people have that this would be the last word on the subject or that this has uncovered the hidden gender dimension in the minds of historians.
