I am beginning to look into David Hume and in the context of today he really tackles the issue of non-scientific thinkers throwing their weight around. There is a general inoculation against calling them non-scientific. In fact it is a badge of honor. However DH goes on to dissect non-scientific thinking as in fact sentimental faux thinking. To limber up I go through all the philosophers I have researched. It is rather long recorded in quite cold and wet conditions with the odd bit of the natural bush sound-scape thrown in.
