I find the distinction between the first chapter on Solar Myths hard to distinguish from this chapter on Cultural Season celebrations hard to settle. There is a clear delineation ending with the Sun Dance of the North American native peoples.
The interplay between the Pagan and Christian beliefs and the resonance with sacrifice and harm in both the Christian and North American cultures is indeed profound.
As a spectrophist I love bone-fires or bonfires lighting up with the calcium lines so enjoyable to read.
Hopefully my stamina and diction is improving, very slowly but still improving.
