Onions under the sausages

Reflections on the raft of micro regulations in Australian life, including the new regulation to put onions underneath the sausages in a hot-dog or sausage sandwich. This is to reduce the slip hazard when the customer drops the meal. I wonder privately whether this is enough and the customer should follow a further regulation of never turning there sausage sandwich through 180 degrees thereby putting the onion from the relative safety of under the sausage to the more dangerous orientation.

I found it interesting to find that the sign (Australian language for the deaf) for onion is a finger to the face showing a tear rolling down the face.

The tradition of having a 'sanga' the local vernacular for a sausage sandwich when you vote is described. There are now regulations here as well, but in overview they all sum up to a pretty fair deal for all.
