Experimental podcast in which I interview Martin the harpest, who has made his own harp and is busking in the local shopping centre. Its clean notes I feel cut through the culture of clutter that is mesmerizing peoples intense lives. I am very much in the moment of cut through from different perspective to liberate people from there self imposed prisons, so the harp is another musical dimension.
After the 2 minute quick interview, Martin and I briefly chatted as I had known and know a number of Army musicians and they all seem to have a very different perspective to throw light on stereotypes. Martin it turns out had military band experience in France for six years in the French Foreign Legion, and followed love out to Australia which left him with in weeks of arriving ... he stayed.
His simple story of building a harp out of waste wood and scraps, really speaks to me. These things have no value at one point in our social narrative. The labour and the soul fuse to create beauty that reaches out to those who are tuned to the harmonics of peace and living in the moment.
